Greetings from down under,
With the Worlds a year away and little in the way of truly international competition available we are inviting you to come on down and play the game the Aussie way.
Later this year the second Pacific Rim (Pac Rim) tournament will be held in Sydney Australia. Available spots will be on a first in basis and this IFBA-sanctioned event is the only international tournament being held in the southern hemisphere.
The rink used is in Penrith NSW which is hard up against the internationally famous Blue Mountains and a short train ride from Sydney, home of the Opera House and Coat Hanger (The Harbour Bridge).
Broomball Australia is hosting the event utilising the skills and experience of the Broomball Association of Western Sydney. The last event was a huge success and all that attended had a great time. Not only on the ice but elsewhere across the country as well.
Details can be sourced from the Broomball Australia Secretary, Cory Skilton at cory @ broomball.com.au or phone +61 (0)403 048 007.
The closing date for overseas teams is May 31 so if you are interested please don’t delay and let us know you are coming; we would love to see you here down under….
We have also decided to offer a mixed (coed) division in the tournament, so we are now offering Men's (checking), women's and mixed divisions. All players and teams are welcome.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us or check out the website.
Regards
Alan Jabs
President Broomball Australia
